Happy in the garden

I didn't mean to be away so long but things happen and you just have to wait until it passes. I'd been feeling down since before Christmas but just thought it was the winter blues but it didn't seem to want to get better this year and has clung on until around the end of March when the weather started to pick up. I am so thankful to have my garden where I can get away from the worries of the world and just enjoy myself for a while.

We didn't do as much in the garden last year as we normally do with Tony being unwell so this year it's taking a bit longer to get everything straight but we're getting there, hopefully. I've lots of seeds growing so with any luck we'll have a garden full of flowers but if they don't grow big enough then there's always the garden centre to visit and fill the borders.

I've hardly touched any sewing or knitting but the past couple of weeks I have managed to put a few stitches into the dream catcher that I started last year, I seem to have lost a lot of motivation to do anything and family are missing the cakes and biscuits I usually have waiting in the tin for them but things are getting better, I tell myself that everyday and I'm hoping that one of these days it will sink in.

Hoping to get a few more stitches in this next week.

I'll leave with a few photos of the garden, there's not a lot there at the moment but the wisteria has put on a good show as has the canary rose but we've had so many aquilegias growing that the garden doesn't look that empty and all for free.

Hopefully I won't be away so long, take care all,

Sue xx
